Mark Goodwin began his construction journey as a gutter installer, learning the trade from the ground up. One house, one crew, one lesson at a time.
Built His Own Business
Within a year, his commitment to quality and integrity led him to start his own subcontracting business. As local contractors grew to trust him, Mark expanded into exterior metal fabrication and installation.
True Construction Founded
Mark founded True Construction, steadily growing the company through changing markets and increasing project complexity, serving Omaha homeowners with full-scope exterior work.
Adapted Through the Recession
When the economy weakened, Mark adapted by mastering siding and roofing trades and adding storm restoration to his skill set, allowing True Construction to handle any exterior challenge with expertise and care.
Embracing Solar
Driven by a genuine interest in sustainable solutions, Mark began learning the solar trade, studying both system design and installation, so he could offer forward-thinking options alongside traditional exterior services.

The People
Behind the Work
A family business, not a franchise, and definitely not a storm chaser. Every person here is someone you might run into at a show at Slowdown, skating Benson's streets, or grabbing a coffee on Farnam. We're Omaha people who happen to be really good at protecting Omaha homes.
Started in 2000. Founded True Construction in 2004. Still personally inspects every job, still answers his own phone, still believes the owner should be the one standing on your roof. 22 years of doing this the right way, because it's the only way he knows how.
On the job site supervising crews and making sure every detail meets Mark's standard. Off the site, he built the Homeowner's Compass and everything digital you see here. When he's not working, he's with his family or teaching skateboarding at The Bay Omaha, a local nonprofit.
